About the Webinar

Roles in mental health services where workers declare their lived experiences and use this perspective intentionally in their work have existed in Victoria for over two decades. However, it is only relatively recently that consumer perspective has been promoted as a unique discipline with its unique contribution and challenges. Access to discipline-specific supervision is as important for the consumer workforce as it is for other disciplines, and the Consumer Perspective Supervision Framework has been developed to provide a foundation for the development of consumer perspective supervision practice.

The webinar is for anyone working in services that employ (or plan to employ) consumer perspective workers.  If you are a service manager, leader, ally or lived experience worker or work alongside a lived experience worker you will learn more about how to support this aspect of this unique work.

  • Consumer perspective supervision values and principles
  • The unique functions of consumer perspective supervision
  • The benefits and outcomes of consumer perspective supervision
  • Promoting consumer perspective supervision in mental health services
