About the Webinar

Roles in mental health services where workers declare their lived experiences and use this perspective intentionally in their work have existed in Victoria for over two decades. However, it is only relatively recently that consumer perspective has been promoted as a unique discipline with its unique contribution and challenges. Access to discipline-specific supervision is as important for the consumer workforce as it is for other disciplines, and the Consumer Perspective Supervision Framework has been developed to provide a foundation for the development of consumer perspective supervision practice.

The webinar is for anyone working in services that employ (or plan to employ) consumer perspective workers.  If you are a service manager, leader, ally or lived experience worker or work alongside a lived experience worker you will learn more about how to support this aspect of this unique work.

Vrinda Edan, currently Interim Chief Operating Officer at VMAIC, will bring over 20 years of experience as a consumer worker, researcher and manager to the discussion about the importance of consumer perspective supervision.

Eila Lyon, Consumer Consultant with South West Healthcare Mental Health Services based in Warrnambool brings significant experience in lived experience roles in mental health and contribution to the development of consumer perspective supervision.

Nino Di Pasquale, Director of Nursing for Mental Health at Barwon Health has over 20 years of experience as a nurse in mental health and leadership roles, including workforce capacity, education, training and establishing frameworks for clinical supervision.
