The webinar will feature a facilitated interdisciplinary panel discussion of a case study. The panel will comprise of Emeritus Professor Stewart Einfeld and Dr Janina Szyndler in a discussion with Daniel Moss - Emerging Minds’ Workforce Development Manager. Read more about the panel.


Learning Outcomes

This webinar will discuss the importance of engaging with children, parents and families about how they interpret children’s behaviour and how communication and collaboration can support children in the long term:

  1. Identify the risk and protective factors for children where they have an intellectual disability.
  2. Describe best practice of collaboration with families and children that achieve positive social and emotional wellbeing outcomes for children with intellectual disability.
  3. Describe tools and tips for assessing, recording and reporting the mental health concerns in children with intellectual disability.
