Brendan Watts, AGS Counsel
Brendan advises across a wide range of legal issues, including administrative law, constitutional law and statutory interpretation, and has particular expertise in employment law.
He advises government clients on all aspects of Commonwealth employment law, including on the engagement of Commonwealth employees under the Public Service Act 1999 and other agency-specific legislation, the operation of the Fair Work Act 2009, the interpretation of enterprise agreements and other industrial instruments, employee entitlements and workplace disputes. Brendan has also provided extensive advice on other workplace laws, including the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 and the Public Interest Disclosure Act 2013.
