This webinar will be delving into the world of compounding through a look at actual case studies in which the use of a compounded medicine has proven to be the most successful treatment option.
This method of analyses aims to assist practitioners to understand why and in which situations, they may choose to prescribe a compound medicine over a retail nutraceutical.
Karl will discuss some of the methods of delivery (e.g. transdermal cream, injection, nutrient nasal spray, troche, and suppository) currently available for various nutritional supplements, and explain why a practitioner may choose a method of nutrient delivery for a given patient/condition.
This presentation will also briefly address:
- What natural health practitioners can and cannot prescribe for their patients by law
- What prescribing a compounded medicine (over a retail product) can mean for them as the practitioner
